Storytellers of all types were in complete control of their craft for most of history until 1974. That year a quiet revolution happened in the Midwest of the United States when Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson created a set of narrative rules called Dungeons & Dragons.
Within the structure of the game, stories became COLLABORATIVE. Storytellers became world builders who guide players in the creation of their own narrative. The audience and the creator now had a way to build stories together.
